Lazy Country Weekend Brunch

Thursday was my high school graduation and to celebrate I had a sleepover with my very best friends. A typical sleepover with my friends would not be complete without some sort of home-made feast; this week’s feast was a lazy-country-weekend themed brunch. We stuffed ourselves with kale mozzarella eggs, breakfast sausage, waffles with chocolate ice cream, and bacon hash and then rinsed it all down with cold-brewed french vanilla iced coffee.

Our lazy-country-weekend feast.

Everything was delicious; however, I play favorites and the most mouth-watering dish was, hands down, the bacon hash. So, here’s the recipe:

Ingredients

10-12 Yukon gold potatoes

2 strips of apple-hickory (or your favorite flavor) bacon

1 Yellow onion

Thyme

Preparation

iBand

There is only one word to describe this video: remarkable. It’s amazing that only twenty years ago, the words “cell phone” didn’t exist and now there are bands brilliantly covering chart-topping songs using cellphones instead of instruments. I don’t think it is as engaging to watch a band, looking down and playing with their iPhones, as compared to a band, rocking out with live instruments; however, the result is definitely impressive.

Could “iPhone bands” turn into the newest trend in music? The idea seems far-fetched, but then again, so was the notion of paper books being replaced by e-readers.

Be sure to check back soon for more YouTube talent and also for the song of the week!
